Dear Grandpa and Grandma Ellsworth, "I love you guys so much, and pray for your health and safety everyday. Last night I gave a lesson on patience. We learned that patience is a Christlike attribute, and that it is submitting to the will of our Father in heaven, and to accept his timing. We can overcome all trials and adversity if we bear all things with patience, hope and faith. There is a scripture I like in Romans 5:3-5, "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulations worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Sometimes we have trials of our faith, but they only make us stronger, give us character, help us progress spiritually, bring us closer to our Heavenly Father, and our Savior. In Ether 12:6, Moroni tells us that we receive no witness until after the trial of our faith. I know the Lord will help you and us with all our trials, because he loves us. That's why we have families here on the earth, so we can be happy. How lucky you guys are, to have ten righteous children, and how lucky I am to be one of your grandsons. The mission is great, and I love being here in Mexico. Our mission president told us to have a white Christmas, referring to us, when our investigators are dressed in baptismal clothes. It amazes me when we ask our investigators, what they feel after reading and praying about the Book of Mormon, they always say the same things, peace, joy, a happiness they have haven't felt before.
